K.B Laugheed
K.B. Laugheed received an MA in English from the University of Dayton, with a concentration in Native American literature. She taught writing at Ivy Tech for twelve years and worked as a writer/editor at a small-town newspaper for twenty-three years. Through both careers, she worked as a freelance writer, publishing numerous articles in national periodicals, and she also wrote and directed a series of plays for community theater. She published her debut novel, The Spirit Keeper, in 2013, and the sequel, The Gift of the Seer, in 2019. Laugheed is an organic gardener, a master naturalist, and an ardent spokesperson for the planet Earth. She belongs to far too many cats.
Tracy Lawson
Tracy Lawson’s passion for storytelling led her first into the world of dance and educational theater, and enjoyed a career as a dance teacher, studio owner, and choreographer that has spanned nearly three decades. A mid-life career change has yielded six books–a four-volume series of thrillers for young adults, and two nonfiction history books based on the lives of her pioneer ancestors. Tracy’s two newest novels are in the pipeline for release in 2020 and 2021. While her body of work may seem varied, the common thread that connects all her books is her characters’ pursuit of individual liberty. Tracy, who is married with one grown daughter and two spoiled cats, splits her time between Dallas, Texas and Columbus, Ohio.

Vicki Leigh
Vicki Leigh grew up in a small suburb of Akron, Ohio, where she learned to read by the age of four and considered being sent to her room for punishment as an opportunity to dive into another book. By the sixth grade, Vicki penned her first full-length screenplay. If she couldn’t be a writer, Vicki would be a Hunter (think Dean and Sam Winchester) or a Jedi. Her favorite place on earth is Hogwarts (she refuses to believe it doesn’t exist), and her favorite dreams include solving cases

K.A. Lemon
K. A. Lemon is the author of Dragons of Alaska and the sci-fi thriller The Gridiron Games, a screenplay written in 2013. Currently, he’s working on his second novel, Tornado Riders, which continues his exploration of the sci-fi genre. K. A. Lemon studied at Ohio University and currently resides in central Ohio. Outside of writing, he is a father, friend, and son who enjoys reading, brainstorming new ideas, and 3-D printing. Camille Licate
Camille Licate, author of “Bree and Me : A True Story of a Rescue Rooster’s
Journey” is Bree, the Rescue Rooster’s Mom! She is the Founder of
Kids for Positive Change, a multimedia environmental education company
reaching, teaching and inspiring kids to take positive action for animals,
people and the planet, through live events and the Kids for Positive Change
television show, currently airing on WQLN PBS, and online, on PBS Learning
Media. Camille is the creator, writer and host of the Kids for Positive Change
television show, which features the KPC Team, young changemakers from
coast to coast, expert guests, and Bree the Rescue Rooster! When not on
set, Camille and Bree are on stage, as guest speakers, (or in Bree’s case
guest “beaker”) at live Kids for Positive Change school and community
outreach events.
Born in Ashtabula, Ohio, Camille always had a great affinity for animals,
writing, education and entertainment. She graduated from Mercyhurst
University, in Erie, PA, earning a degree in Dance and a minor in
Anthropology. Camille lived in NYC, where she studied and performed with
The Martha Graham Dance Company and worked as a pottery analyst for
The American Museum of Natural History. She was hired as a “dancer who
could act,” by The Shakespeare Theatre, in Washington D.C., and went on to
star in many stage productions before making the coastal leap to Los
Angeles, CA, where she worked as a professional actress and screenwriter,
making her screenwriting debut with her animated children’s film, “IZZIE’S
WAY HOME.” An animal advocate, Camille worked for Orangutan Foundation
International and traveled to Camp Leakey, in Borneo, Indonesia, to film and
study the endangered orangutan. In 2017, Camille founded Kids for Positive
Change, piloting her programs at Ashtabula Area City Schools, in Ashtabula,
Ohio and, over the years, expanding her live event programs to schools in
Ohio and New York. Season one of the Kids for Positive Change television
show, debuted on PBS stations in New York, North Carolina, Michigan,
Pennsylvania and Colorado, in 2021 and 2022, and season two is set to
debut on WQLN, PBS, in Erie, PA, in early 2023.
Camille serves on the board of Kent State University’s Rising Scholars
Program, in Ashtabula, Ohio, and is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni
award, from Mercyhurst University, in Erie, PA, for Outstanding Service to
the Community. In addition to “Bree and Me,” Camille has authored and
self-published the books, Small Shoes : Outgrowing Old Relationships and
Finding the Right Fit and Breelieve! A Coloring and Picture Book, featuring
Bree, the rescue rooster.

Julie Anne Lindsey
Julie Anne Lindsey is an award-winning and bestselling author of mystery and romantic suspense. Scott Longert
Scott Longert is a graduate of the Ohio State University and has his M.A. in American History from Cleveland State with an emphasis on the post-Civil Wars years to the Great Depression.
Scott is a retired Park Ranger from the James A. Garfield National Historic Site where he specialized in Civil War talks concerning General Garfield and major battles of the war.
Scott has been writing about Cleveland baseball history for over thirty years and has five books published to date, his latest Cy Young: An American Baseball Hero released in June 2020.
A sixth book, Victory on Two Fronts is due for an early winter 2022 release.
Scott has taught part-time at Cuyahoga Community College, offering courses in several aspects of Cleveland baseball history. He lectures regularly at local libraries and community groups. Scott was recently interviewed for the upcoming documentary, War on the Diamond, a study of the rivalry between the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees.
Dandi Daley Mackall
Dandi won her first writing contest as a 10-year-old tomboy. Her 50 words on “Why I Want to Be Batboy for the Kansas City A’s” won first place, but the team wouldn’t let a girl be batboy. It was her first taste of rejection. Since then, Dandi has become an award-winning author of about 500 books for all ages (from infant to adult) and in every genre. The Silence of Murder (Knopf/Random House) won the Edgar Award for Best YA and ALA-YALSA Best Fiction. Legend of Ohio and Rudy Rides the Rails: A Depression Era Story won Notable Book awards, a Children’s Book Council award, the Angel Award, the “Award of Excellence” from Chicago Book Show. A Girl Named Dan (her own “batboy” story, and a lesson on Title IX) won a Mom’s Choice & the Amelia Bloom. My Boyfriends’ Dogs (now a Hallmark movie, “most watched” 2014), gained her national attention. With Love, Wherever You Are, Dandi’s grown-up novel about her parents, Army Dr. and Nurse in WW2, won the Reader’s Choice Award and earned PW and Booklist starred reviews. Other awards: the Helen Keating Ott Award for Contributions to Children’s Literature; OCIRA Hall of Fame; ALA Best Book; Top Teen Read by New York Public Library; Romantic Times’ Top Pick; Gold Medallions, Christian Book Awards, etc. Dandi is a national speaker, keynoting at conferences and Young Author events, enjoying school visits, and making appearances on TV (ABC, NBC, and CBS). KaraLynne Mackrory
Award winning author KaraLynne Mackrory is no newbie to the writing world. She made her debut as an author at the tender age of thirteen when she wrote her first set of bad poems. Angsty, emotional, and filled with teenage drama, they were unbelievable disasters. Such contributions to the literary world were so terrible that today they are kept behind lock and key to protect others from their awfulness. As a young adult she steered clear of soap opera-inspired works and achieved a degree in social work. It was not until her late twenties that she returned to her roots in writing. Since then she has published four Jane Austen-inspired novels so full of romantic sensibilities as to give you a toothache and a grin and hopefully a few contented sighs. Kristina McBride
Kristina McBride has published four novels for young adults – THE TENSION OF OPPOSITES (2010), ONE MOMENT (2012), A MILLION TIMES GOODNIGHT (2016), and THE BAKERSVILLE DOZEN (2017). Kristina is a former high school English teacher and yearbook advisor, as well as an adjunct professor at Antioch University Midwest and Wright State University. She loves leading writers’ workshops for all ages, including teachers and librarians aiming to lead to student workshops. Kristina has a thing for music, trees, purses, and chocolate. You might be surprised to learn that Kristina was almost kidnapped when she was a child. She also bookstalks people on a regular basis. Kristina lives in Ohio with her husband and two children.
